Tired of that snow just sitting out there, not going away? Me too! I’m now, finally, starting to see the grass in my front yard again!

Don’t worry, before you know it, March will be here, the snow will be gone, and it’ll be time for another fantastic season of the Booters!

Spring 2011 Is HERE!

INFO/REGISTRATION:

We’ll be looking for the standard 6 Teams of 12-14 kids. Attached to the email is the Spring 2011 Registration Form. Please complete the form and drop it off in the mail or directly into my mailbox at the house. No changes to the league fees from last season, we still have the best deal in town at $40/child to register. Registration will close 1 week prior to the start of the season (March 23rd).

Latest Updates:

SEASON:

We’ve penciled in the season to start on Wednesday March 30th. The season will run for 7 weeks and end on Saturday May 14th, 2011.

That’s right, 7 weeks this season. We will be taking the week of April 18th off for Garnet Valley Spring Recess. The Booters Committee hasn’t decided if perhaps we’ll have something voluntary on Wednesday the 20th or not. The thinking is not a practice/game, but something fun and interactive. We’ll keep you posted.

By popular demand we’ll also be bringing back Freeze Frame Photos to take pictures of the teams and players. Date and time will be announced shortly into the season.

Then we’ll have our famous season end party on May 14th.

Practice/Games will be on our usual Wednesdays (5:30pm to 6:30pm) and Saturdays (9:00am to 10:00am). All games will be at the Bethel Community Park again this season.

AGE:

Typical age is 5 to 6. However, if you have a child outside those lines, don’t worry, as always we’re “flexible.” We can go below 5, but our experience has been kids under 5 may or may not last the whole season. Use your judgment and/or give me call.  Same idea applies if your kid is 7 to 7.5 but isn't ready for the step up to BYC or Garnet Valley Soccer Club. Give me a call and we’ll discuss. We know Booters is a fun place to be! We just don't want to have any 7 year olds dominating over the 5 year olds.

SPONSORS:

As always we’ll be looking for sponsors. Returning sponsors from the Fall 2010 Season will have first dibs. Just check the appropriate box on the registration form and email me on availability before you send a check in.

COACHES:

We can’t be The Brandywine Booters without our fantastic Coaches!!

We’re always looking for a couple of new Coaches too. If interested check the box on the form and e-mail me back (it’ll be easier for me to track who I have as potentials and returnees).  Soccer knowledge is not required (and actually no knowledge is preferred).  And Parents, go right ahead and “involuntarily” volunteer each other! We always encourage the daughter/son bonding time out on the Booter fields.

WEBSITE:

Haven’t updated the website yet. However, I’m going to get the website going soon, so check back at  www.brandywinebooters.com  I’ll be placing the Spring 2011 information and tools soon. Please continue to check there for updates.

GRADUATES:

If anyone has “graduated” from Booters and does not want to be on the distribution list anymore, just let me know.

RECRUITS

If you know of any family or friends that have children that would love to be a part of the Booters Experience, please forward this email to them or supply the registration form.

Thank you for all your continued support to the League, and I look forward to having a great Spring season!
